Time for Me -Helene Lerner
1. Knowing that there is an imbalance in your life is the first step toward changing it.
2. Make self-care a priority!
3. Saying "No" is like saying "Yes" to yourself.
4. Pause between activities
5. Do not take it personally, even if it has your name on it!
6. When you make a mistake, let it go; no one is keeping score.
7. We are so used to feeling under pressure that we believe stress is a part of everyday life. but the truth is we are stressed because we are "stressable". It's not the situations in our lives that cause us stress but our reactions to them.
8. Saying "No" can be positive when it frees you to do what is most beneficial for you and others. Saying "Yes" too many times may mean you are trying to seduce others into liking you by being who they want you to be. Have faith that they will like you even better for who you are. And if they don't, you may need to move on.
9. When you are about to criticize someone, stop. Look what's bothering you.
10. When you receive criticism, take what fits, and leave the rest.
